Ludwigia sp. 'Atlantis' is a selected aquarium stem plant also circulated under the name Ludwigia sp. 'Dark Orange'. The wild parent has not been identified with certainty, although North American Ludwigia ancestry is considered likely. It is an easy, fast-growing plant that develops green to orange foliage, with the strongest warm tones appearing under good light, stable carbon dioxide and balanced fertilisation. The stems are suited to the midground or background and respond well to regular trimming. Cut healthy tops and replant them to renew the group; the remaining lower stems usually produce side shoots and become bushier. The plant can also grow above the waterline in open aquariums or humid setups. Because 'Atlantis' is a cultivated trade selection rather than a confirmed botanical species, the profile retains the horticultural name and does not assign a definite wild origin. Its speed, easy propagation and orange colour make it a useful beginner-friendly accent.
