Anubias barteri var. barteri is a slow-growing, robust plant from West Africa. It is larger than the familiar nana form and can develop a substantial clump. Choose a shaded position to help limit algae on its long-lived leaves. If placing it at substrate level, keep the creeping rhizome exposed. It can also be grown above water in a humid paludarium.
