About this plant
The aquarium form known as 'Monte Carlo' produces small rounded leaves and spreading runners. Moderate to strong lighting and added CO2 support a dense carpet. It can also be attached to wood or stone when nutrients are available in the water. Trim established growth before it becomes a thick mat: shaded lower layers can die back and allow the carpet to lift.
