About this plant
Java fern is a slow-growing aquatic fern that can be attached to wood or stone. Keep its horizontal rhizome exposed rather than buried in the substrate. It can be propagated by dividing that rhizome. Dark spots on the undersides of otherwise healthy leaves may be sporangia, the fern's reproductive structures, rather than disease. It can be grown with low light.
