About this plant

Vesicularia sp. 'Triangle Moss' is an unidentified aquarium moss recognised by shoots that often branch into upright triangular outlines. Its exact species and wild origin remain unresolved, with Taiwan sometimes suggested in the trade, so it should not be presented as a formally identified Vesicularia species. The moss is easy to maintain in fresh, clean water and grows under low to medium light. Carbon dioxide injection is optional rather than required, although modest added CO2 can increase density and recovery after trimming. Attach small portions to stone or wood with thread or adhesive, then prune projecting shoots to retain the desired shape. Loose fragments can establish elsewhere, which also makes division the simplest propagation method. Growth can reach roughly 10 cm if left untrimmed. Triangle Moss also tolerates humid emersed culture, making it useful for paludariums, waterfalls and stream-edge displays as well as aquarium foreground and hardscape work.
