About this plant
Colourful medium-sized Bucephalandra form originally supplied under the trade name Mini Theia. Its exact wild locality and species identity are unknown. Submerged foliage can range from bronze-brown through purple and bluish tones to green, often with a metallic sheen. Aquasabi reports obovate, fairly soft leaves to about 5.5 cm including the petiole and about 1.9 cm wide, on a roughly 4 mm thick ascending to creeping and strongly branched rhizome. Aquarium height is about 6–8 cm. It is an easy, slow epiphyte: keep the rhizome exposed, provide stable conditions, and use moderate light plus CO2 and complete nutrition for the strongest colour.
