About this plant
Compact small-to-medium Bucephalandra trade form of unresolved species identity. Aquasabi describes an ascending, strongly branched rhizome and relatively soft, short-stalked, elongate-elliptic leaves around 6 cm long and 1.4 cm wide. Emersed leaves are dark olive to light green; submerged leaves may show reddish tones, a blue-green sheen and numerous silvery dots, with new leaves often light orange-brown. It is a slow, easy epiphyte for stone or wood. Low light and no injected CO2 are sufficient for maintenance, while moderate light, stable nutrition and CO2 generally produce the best colour and growth.
