About this plant
Collector Fissidens of unresolved species identity and unknown exact origin. It has been cultivated in the European aquascaping hobby since at least the 2010s and Aquasabi announced it in its rarity assortment in 2017. Hobby reports consistently describe an exceptionally slow-growing, low, dense, deep-green moss that adheres well to hardscape. Commercial care information lists approximately 17–26 °C, pH 6–8 and KH 0–21, with medium to high light and supplemental CO2 recommended. It can be divided into very small pieces for propagation and can also be maintained emersed, although hobby experience suggests submerged growth is often considerably faster. Because the plant is not botanically identified, locality and species-level claims should remain provisional.
