About this plant
Very small unidentified Fissidens traded as originating from Vietnam. It forms velvety deep-green cushions from delicate, feather-like shoots about 3–4 mm wide that are densely branched near the base and grow prostrate to ascending. Aquasabi reports that it can grow both emersed and submerged but appears to prefer the submerged state. Growth is very slow. The moss benefits strongly from good water-column nutrition and injected CO2. Attach small portions to stone, wood or moss pads, or press them into crevices. Thin or trim old thick cushions before their lower portions die back and the mat detaches. Excellent for detailed hardscape and nano aquariums.
