About this plant
Antyovani is a relatively substantial Bucephalandra culture form with long, narrow lance-shaped leaves and a waved edge. Specialist descriptions place it around 8–10 cm tall, making it useful as a small midground accent rather than an extremely tiny foreground cushion. Its resemblance to Bucephalandra kerangas does not establish that species identity. Leave space for the long blades to project into open water. A fine-leaved neighbour or smooth stone can provide contrast without covering the leaf outline. Secure the plant to rock or wood and leave its creeping rhizome uncovered. Gentle circulation keeps debris from settling on slow-growing foliage. Maintain balanced nutrition and stable conditions; sudden changes may be followed by leaf loss. Remove deteriorating leaves and preserve a firm living rhizome. Propagate established plants by dividing healthy leaf-bearing sections. Emerse and submerse leaf appearance can differ. General Bucephalandra guidance is not a measured tolerance limit for every named culture form. Care ranges, where supplied, describe reported cultivation conditions rather than measured lethal limits. Width and nutrient concentrations are left unspecified where no defensible form-specific values are available.
