Meta is a documented locality culture form of Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata from central Colombia. Long, very narrow leaves occur in whorls and develop orange-red tones under suitable conditions. It is distinct from the Pantanal form already represented in the database. Use a group in the middle or rear of the aquarium, allowing water and light to reach the lower leaves. Specialist cultivation reports recommend soft water, with carbonate hardness preferably below 4 dKH, balanced nutrients and carbon dioxide.
