Cryptocoryne cordata var. siamensis 'Rosanervig' is a slow-growing water trumpet distinguished by rose-pink veins against green to olive leaves. The long horticultural name remains useful in the aquarium trade, although current botanical treatments accept the parent taxon as Cryptocoryne siamensis. This cultivar is easy once established and can be placed in the midground or background as a coloured specimen. Low to medium light is sufficient; injected carbon dioxide is optional but can improve growth. A nutrient-rich substrate is more important because Cryptocoryne feed strongly through their roots. Stable conditions reduce the risk of temporary leaf loss after planting or major water changes. The profile's broad range of pH 4.5 to 7 and carbonate hardness from 2 to 12 °dKH reflects the adaptable parent group. Propagation occurs through runners, rhizome division and separated daughter rosettes. Avoid confusing this plant with Alternanthera reineckii 'Rosanervig', which is an unrelated red stem plant.
