About this plant
Unidentified Fontinalis supplied with a northern Thailand origin. It resembles some forms of the European Fontinalis antipyretica but differs from ordinary Willow Moss in its narrower, more streamlined shoots and closely appressed leaves. Aquasabi describes deep-green shoots about 4 mm wide, sparsely branched and densely covered with 2–3 mm leaves. It grows well at normal aquarium temperatures around 20–26 °C and appears less CO2-demanding than F. antipyretica var. gigantea. The moss does not attach to the substrate by itself, so tie bunches or flat portions securely to stone or wood. Its long, narrow flowing shoots are especially effective in stream or high-flow layouts.
